About workshop:

Education 5.0 is the use of new technologies to provide more humanized teaching, with a focus on students’ social and emotional development and solutions that improve life in society. The workshop highly focused to introduce uLektz Eco-System for the implementation of Education 5.0 and Society 5.0 in the Higher Education Institutes in India which covers Digital Technology Based Learning, Learning Resources, Formation Social Learning Communities, Research initiatives and appreciations.

In Education 5.0, technology is a way to add value and make education more effective. Education 5.0 is not about less or more technology, but about making conscious, responsible choices without losing sight of the bigger picture. In Education 5.0, special attention is paid to aspects such as privacy, ethics, security and technological mindfulness. It prepares students for lifelong learning and lays the foundation for a wide range of skills that go far beyond the digital.’

The goal is to bring education closer to technological advances already in use by society and companies, as well as to create more direct communication with new generations, who no longer can live without technology.

Education 5.0 and Society 5.0

Society 5.0 is a concept developed in 2016 in Japan that means using recent technological advances on behalf of society’s and the planet’s well-being. Beyond developing technology to increase productivity or generate profits, these changes should aim to improve people’s lives, make day-to-day issues easier, and minimize environmental impacts. In the same vein, there’s Education 5.0, whose objective is to train young people to find solutions to social problems through technology.

Education 5.0 can also be applied to other types of institutions, both public and private, from basic education to graduate degrees. Furthermore, not only distance learning will benefit from this, but also in-person institutions. It’s important to know that putting Education 5.0 into practice is much more than just distance learning. It also requires Investment in educational technologies.

Many educational establishments are stuck in time when it comes to technology. Even when they have management software, these platforms aren’t always integrated and pedagogic and administrative processes are kept separate.
